The Steps of a Follower, The Leaps of a Leader
Even if you think you're not a leader and you're just a follower, you are likely setting some kind of example to someone and teaching them in some way, shape, or form. When I was younger, I never thought I'd be a leader but I did want to be one. Then I started looking to people who were doing the right things and providing great examples, while walking the narrow path. Now, I'm walking the narrow path following my mentors while mentoring those who find my footsteps. I am one of many leaders helping to bring those people up and show them the way. Granted, we all misstep sometimes even when on the narrow path because we are human and imperfect. But, we have to make sure that we know where and how we tripped up as we keep walking, telling those behind us, "Hey I tripped right there, but I'll come help you when you're down," all the while moving those cobbles and boulders out of the way to prevent any others from stumbling. It starts with you and you've always got people in front of you and also behind you. While you're carefully watching the steps of those in front of you, watch your steps just the same so as not to trip because, guaranteed, there's someone behind you watching your steps while they may or may not be watching their own. We can make great differences with our small steps as followers and even greater ones when we leap as leaders. So let's get going to help the fallen and stumbling up while moving those rocks away to prevent further stumbles and falls. We're making differences!
